The Civil Aviation Authority of Solomon Islands (CAASI) is the country's statutory aviation regulator. Established under the Civil Aviation Act 2008, CAASI protects the travelling public and supports a safe, secure and well-regulated aviation system.
OUR MANDATE
CAASI regulates civil aviation in Solomon Islands with a clear focus on preventing accidents and incidents. Its work includes aviation safety oversight, aviation security, safety education and training, and the regulation of Solomon Islands airspace.
OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO THE NATION
Solomon Islands has been a signatory to the Convention on International Civil Aviation since 1985. CAASI works to maintain the country's continuing compliance with its international obligations, including applicable international Standards and Recommended Practices.
Through professional oversight, effective regulation and constructive engagement with the aviation community, CAASI contributes to a national civil aviation industry that is safe, secure, efficient and fit for the future.
